Anderson is a full-service direct marketing company located in Poway, CA. We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our team!

The onsite Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist will provide a single point of contact to the organization for information technology related problems. Assist business customers with telephone, email or trouble ticket enquiries to resolve or escalate IT systems issues and problems. Provide support and incident management and client communications for IT systems faults and service requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide first line support for any information technology issues and problems.
  • Provide assistance by phone, email and/or using a ticket management system.
  • Follow up on tickets at pre-defined intervals until resolved.
  • Track and update issues to resolution.
  • Update the internal knowledgebase with issue resolution details.
  • Track user account creation, changes and deletions.
  • Perform password resets and re-certify tokens.
  • Support computers, laptops, tablets, smart phones, phones, printers, video conferencing, remote connectivity and applications.
  • Keep an up-to-date inventory of hardware, software, licenses etc.
  • Monitor and escalate alerts, errors from network systems, backups etc.
  • Create and maintain user accounts, emails including rights, permissions and systems groups.
  • Escalate problems as required to Senior System Admin and Director of IT.
  • Quickly and accurately determine incident scope and impact.
  • Update daily status reports and shift handover reports.
  • Act as liaison between customers and technical escalation teams.
  • Assist in other System Admin duties.
  • Additional duties and special projects may be required and assigned

Requirements/Qualifications/Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft, MacOS, Linux
  • Experience in Corporate and Enterprise IT environments
  • Experience with virtualized environment
  • Experience with thin client, laptop, smartphone, server, printer hardware and software setup, equipment lifecycle management
  • Familiar with various Office and Mobile Application setup and support
  • Management of LAN, WAN, Wireless networks, cabling
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to precise details and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, highly dynamic atmosphere and react quickly  to changes
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to incorporate “Team” ideas into projects

Education/Experience

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related technology field, preferred
  • 2+ years related experience in an IT support position
  • Professional IT Certifications preferred

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
