Summary

The Imaging Print Operator is responsible for arranging, maintaining, and operating various types of heavy equipment used for print production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate Xerox iGen4 Digital Presses and Xerox DocuPrint 180
  • Monitoring the machine operations
  • Ensuring finished products and components are matching with the quality and quantity specifications of the company
  • Record all pertinent job information on work tickets/quality forms
  • Maintaining a report of the total measure of goods manufactured per day
  • Move and stage material for all jobs
  • Replenishing, stocking, and sorting necessary materials
  • Interface with other departments as required

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Experienced Color Digital Press (2-4 years)
  • Computer literate
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexibility required for production scheduling including weekends

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and bend. The employee is occasionally required to kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds. Requires carrying, bending, twisting and standing on a daily basis.  The employee is intermittently required to push and/or pull up 10-50+ pounds.  May require use of dolly for moving of heavy materials.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration as well as hot and cold temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is frequently noisy.
