Summary

The job of the Creative Operation Manager position is to directly support the Creative Operations Director in managing the implementation of day-to-day processes, financial reporting, and resourcing of the Creative Department.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Creative Operations Director to assign Creative staff to active projects
  • Effectively allocate Creative resources with the goal of maximizing the output of Creative deliverables
  • Work with account managers to estimate new Creative project requests with guidance from Creative Operations Director
  • Stay up to date on the status of active projects across the Creative Team
  • Develop and deliver on reporting asks to help provide Creative leadership visibility to departmental metrics
  • Employ metrics and data to inform future resourcing decisions
  • Forecast and scale creative staff as required based on workload across the Creative Team
  • Collaborate with account management team to gain visibility into upcoming deliverables to plan accordingly
  • Meet with account management team to review billing progress and expectations across Creative projects
  • Track project billing progress to ensure appropriate amounts are billed across projects based on the progress of Creative deliverables
  • Collaborate with Art Directors, Designers, and Copywriters in the development of creative deliverables
  • Remain up to date on the latest productivity and management tools

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) in Marketing, Advertising or related major preferred
  • 3+ years of marketing operations or project management experience
  • Strong knowledge and skill working in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PPT
  • Highly organized
  • Resourceful and proactive
  • Understanding of marketing agency workflows within a Creative department
  • Experience planning and executing projects with a number of moving parts
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, timelines and direction as well as handle multiple projects across a variety of clients
  • Effective presentation skills – able to present and convey information to a number of audiences including senior management, account executives and cross-functional teams
  • Self-directed, motivated, collaborative and someone who is willing to learn, adapt and grow

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer literate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
